Airsoft guns are replica firearms designed to shoot non-metallic plastic BBs using compressed air, gas, or electric-powered mechanisms. They are categorized into three main types: spring-powered (manually cocked before each shot), gas-powered (using CO₂ or green gas), and AEGs – Automatic Electric Guns (battery-powered). While they look realistic, they are used for recreational purposes such as airsoft skirmishes, training, and target shooting. When using airsoft guns, it is essential to wear protective gear, especially eye protection such as safety goggles, to prevent injuries.
