They are categorized into three main types: spring-powered (manually cocked before each shot), gas-powered (using CO₂ or green gas), and AEGs – Automatic Electric Guns (battery-powered). While they look realistic, they are used for recreational purposes such as airsoft skirmishes, training, and target shooting. When using airsoft guns, it is essential to wear protective gear, especially eye protection such as safety goggles, to prevent injuries.

    Typy Airsoftových zbraní 

    1. Manuální (spring-powered: pušky a pistole): Tyto zbraně je třeba před každým výstřelem ručně natáhnout, což je činí méně vhodnými pro rychlé střelecké situace, ale často jsou spolehlivější a jednodušší na údržbu.

    2. Elektrické (AEG - Automatic Electric Gun a AEP - Auromatic Electric Pistol): Tyto zbraně využívají elektrický motor k pohonu pístu a jsou schopné střílet v automatickém nebo poloautomatickém režimu. K napájení motoru se používají speciální akumulátory. Jsou nejčastější volbou pro hráče díky své rychlosti a spolehlivosti.

    3. Plynové: Tyto zbraně používají stlačený plyn (např. Green Gas, CO2) k pohonu střely. Jsou oblíbené pro svůj realistický zpětný ráz a přesnost, ale mohou být ovlivněny teplotou a jsou náročnější na údržbu. 

    4. HPA (High-Pressure Air): Tyto repliky používají stlačený vzduch z HPA nádrže, což umožňuje vysokou kadenci a konzistentní výkon. Výhody těchto zbraní jsou např.: vysoký výkon, nízká citlivost na teploty, snadná úprava parametrů. Hlavní nevýhodou tohoto typu jsou vysoké pořizovací náklady.
